That's the same stuff Jack Haley the Tin Man from TWOZ had on.
There's a story behind that aluminum creme.
Buddy Ebsen, the original guy that was supposed to be the Tin Man had a severe allergic reaction to it. It was so bad that production of the movie had to stop. That's how Haley got the role of the Tin Man. No need to feel sorry for Ebsen though. He made millions as Jed Clampett and Barnaby Jones.
Would be cool to get some and put it on!! May procede with caution though. Francesco, did you experience any allergic reaction or irritation from that stuff?
Rodger, Over and Out
Didn't remember that charachter from the Wizard of Oz... but WOZ in not really
known here in Italy...
Instead I got inspired by a music group named "The Rockets" that was famous
(at least here in Europe... guess they were French) in the late 70's.
They were ALL BALD and silver painted, and used to wear futuristic clothes.
Also were the first to use the laser effects during their performances...
quite WOW at that time...
Coming to allergic reactions: I had no reaction at all. On this topic, and linking
to The Rockets, there was a "urban legend" going around at the time, telling
that they all had been taken to the hospital almost death cause of an
allergic reaction to the silver paint!

But it was just a legend, and they were healty and smooth (and silver
shining, but not in their everyday life... I guess

)
