This is going to hurt

nla-entertainment:
No point to this post, just whining.

So about 4 weeks ago, my right knee started feeling like a knife was in it. I go to my internist, he sends me to an ortho specialist. X-rays, MRI. Saw the guy on 4-25-08 (he's sly). Osteoarthritis, degenerative. It's the same thing I have in my hands, spine, neck and feet. Basically, nothing to be done about it.  My hands sort of 'pop' out and I have to wear a splint for a few days. When my back does it, well it's a week in bed.

So now I have to get some really neat Cortisone injections. I had one in a knee when I was running marathons. That crap hurts for a few days. Suck out some fluid, inject some other fluid. Not looking forward to the 2 foot long needle again. End result will be bionic knees.

SLYinKC:
Sorry to hear it.  I seem to be getting alot more aches and pains lately.  Getting old really stinks. :Xo!

Sgt. Pate:
I'm really sorry to hear that bro... my bride has degenerative osteoarthritis, it's very painful for her and has her so physically limited that she can't hardly do any walking.  A trip to COSTCO lays her up for two days!  :(

Paul:
Man, sorry to hear that nla, can't imagine what you are going through.  I do know from family members though, that the joint replacements are a real God send in returning to normal living.
