Dealing through the grief

Brothers, Jeremy is a young man that works for me. He and his wife just lost their pre-mature daughter named Phoebe. It was a heart wrenching ordeal. I’m copying his note because through his grief, and God’s grace, this has ministered to many of us here at work and the doctors and nurses. Prayers would be appreciated.
Max
Jeremy’s note:
"Thank you for all the prayers, concern, and generosity we have received. Our little girl was very precious but her life was not cut short, it was exactly as long as intended. While as grieving parents we longed for many more years with her we also realize that it is an assumption that life should be longer. We see purpose in such a short ministry because we see how she ministered to those who met her and walked with us through this. No doubt those touched by Phoebe have had their eyes opened to the life we tend to take for granted. As the proud parents of Phoebe's sister Zoë we know that we hug her just a little bit tighter and love each other even more profoundly. Sometimes the most profound truths are wrapped in tiny swaddling blankets."

Thank you so much for sharing that Max. It is definitely a good way to "look" at life in general. A very uplifting way to look at it. Thanks again and my prayers go out to the Webb family.

To be so strong at such a trying time. I'm humbled by the words of the father and the message he so eloquently stated. Loosing my Father was a tough deal, can't imagine loosing a child. My heart and prayers go out to this family and all who loose loved ones, especially at what we consider to be such a young age.

Late post for me, but this hits home. I send my thoughts and prayers to the Webb family and I'm awed by the positive attitude and message Jeremy wrote.
My little girl was a preemie, 7 weeks early. She turned out fine, as all the nurses assured us she would. But it was a tough thing to deal with at first. We never lost sight of keeping positive and doing what we had to do. They were absolutely right, she is a fine 7 year old today, and though all those memories are there, it does seem like it never happened. Thankfully, it did turn out all was well.
My heart goes out to the Webb family, as I can't imagine the grief of losing your child.
