Here is a story to share. I was 18 at the time and a senior in high school. I was out on a Saturday night with some friends past curfew. I had told my mom I was staying at a friend's house that night. We were partying at a buddy's house and having a good time. I stayed sober since I had to take my girlfriend at the time home. After taking her home, she said meet me across the street in an hour, I'll sneak out. I was there, but she wasn't. Turns out she had a little too much to drink and got pretty sick. I waited a couple of hours and paged her several times with no success. I decided to drive back to the house we were partying at to spend the night. I never made it. While driving down a pretty deserted street at 3 AM, I fell asleep at the wheel and hit a tree in the median head on. I remember waking up just before hitting the tree and thinking, "OH $%!%!!!" When I woke up again, my Ranger pickup which I'd had less than a month, was sitting on the passenger side and I was hanging there, suspended by my seat belt. I could feel something wet on my face, but wasn't sure what it was. I blacked out until I heard the voices of two good Samaritans whom had stopped to see what was the matter. One of them jumped onto the driver side and tried to open the door to no avail. The second one crawled in through the hole where the back window used to be (it popped out in one piece). He managed to get my seat belt undone and I don't remember if they drug me out or what, but I was laying in the road next to the median when a newspaper van stopped and asked if he should call 911. The police, fire department and ambulance showed up and they carted me to the hospital. Got four stitches in my left eyelid and some bruises. That was it. Took a few days off school and I was good as new. Totaled my Ranger, and I hadn't even made the first payment yet. They told me the seat belt and the guys who stopped probably saved my life. To this day I still don't know who those guys were, but I am very thankful they stopped to help me.

PigPen that is quite an amazing story and I am glad you have recovered and didnt suffer any severe injuries.

Good Samaritans have saved the lives of countless hundred of thousand, especially at accident sites.

In 1998 ,my junior year of high school, 2 guys that I knew were driving home from a party at 6am. Probably drunk or under the influence somehow,I'm not sure. They were driving down and curvy road that hugged the river and Matt was driving and Andy was following him about 1/4 mile behind.

Somehow Matt lost control of the car and crashed into a tree. When Andy come upon the accident Matt's legs were pinned by the crushed front end and the car was engulfed in flames. Andy tried his best to try to pull Matt out of the car but he was just pinned in and his legs were crushed. He watched his friend burn to death before police and fire trucks got there. He suffereed severe 3rd degree burns to his arms and face which he will carry for the rest of his life, his reminder of his valiant attempt to save his friends life.

I had 4 open-heart surgeries by the time I was 12 and today live life to the fullest because of it.  It's my own miracle.
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

Thanks JDog, I'm glad as well.

What your friend went through trying to save his buddy is pretty intense too.

I have had many miracles in my life. To start with, when I was born my intestines or something was to small, I lost 4 lbs in the first couple weeks of my life before they figured out what it was and I got surgery, I have a scar running all the way across my belly, it looks like a fat wrinkle.
Then when I was 7 I got attacked by a pitbull on memorial day. I went to pet it, it was kinda peer pressure, I wanted to fit in so I did it. It turned out they had been teasing the dog before. I went to pet it and as soon as I was close enough it jumped on me and started ripping into me. The dog stopped just long enough for me to crawl under a nearby car, then right as I got under it it tried to get my foot. I crawled all the way under the car then ran home. Once I got home my mother freaked out and was screaming. She came to her senses and got me a wash rag to stick on my cheek to absorb blood. We went to the emergency room and I had to get over 100 stitches. The dog bit off my upper left lip, bit open my lower right cheek so much that you could see my teeth, it got my upper left cheek just over the cheek bone, and on my right shoulder. I had reconstructive surgery on my lip so that it looks more normal and not so creepy. The scar on my shoulder looks like a cross with a few spots from the stitches making it look like a halo.
Then two years after that I was riding on the handle bars of a bike and the person that was pedling hit the back tire of another bike which sent me flying about 40 or so feet. My head skid across the road which started to split my right ear from my head. The doctor said that if I would have gone a couple more inches I wouldnt have an ear.
When I was about 12 I showed a steer at fair and got a blister so I was bare foot. I went to get the steer out to clean his stall and he stepped on my right foot and I shoved him so he then stepped on my left foot. The miracle there was that I didnt get a broken foot or anything, I just cant feel either of my big toes and have little to no feeling in my second toes.

My miracles are mostly from stupidity in a way but they are still miracles.
