I'm a massive hat fan, even before going sly. Got a load of beanies, flexfit caps and a few trucker ones creeping in. Quite fancy trying to find a flat cap I like too!

I've always been a hat guy even before going sly. I love my Real Deal Brazil.

When I'm gonna be out in the sun I'll sport a fitted or when out beating up the bike trails I'm sporting my good 'ol desert boonie. When it's cold, it's the beanie.

Cheers,

I wore hats when I played baseball earlier in life, and then stopped for a long time. When my hair started majorly thinning in college, it's when I turned to hats. I became attached to them, almost afraid to take them off. My friends/roommates knew it, too. It's the ONE thing that would stop me from getting a girl and they knew it.

Hats were my way of hiding my hair problems to the world. I would wear a hat ALWAYS. Wouldn't go a second without it...only when I slept, and even then, I'd have covers over my head. It was THAT BAD...

Now...as for hats, I still own a couple, but wear them rarely. If I go to a Yankee game, I'll wear one, if it's super cold/sunny out, I'll wear one, but not for long. I am far more confident without one, rather than with one.

Although I shaved my head for YEARS, I still wore a hat, because it gave the illusion that I had hair. I was afraid girls wouldn't like me, etc etc. If I knew then what I know now, I'd have never worn a hat. Ever.

Bald since 2005, showing it off since 2011.

Love to wear a nice straw in the summer and something warm in the brutal winter cold.  8)

I'm a fan of hats and hoods in general, somewhat because I'm shy and like to stay low-profile, and somewhat because I have fair skin that burns easily.  Less than 30 minutes in direct sunlight and I begin to turn tomato.

I like plain ball caps that allow me to go without sunscreen on the dome.  It saves me a little money and that kinda slimy initial feeling after rubbing it in.  Probably the biggest downside of being sly that I've found is needing to protect against sunburn on the dome.  Which ain't so bad, all things considered!  ;D

I will update my response to this thread since I was living in Norther California when I responded last.

Since moving to Wisconsin, I find that I can't go outside without a toque in the winter time. So much so, that I taught myself how to knit last December and have since made several toques for myself in preparation of this upcoming winter.

Any other time, I like to let my gleaming dome of chrome shine in the sun with only a generous coating of SPF 50 on that bad boy. ;D
Tis better to have a bald head than no head at all.

If I lived in Wisconsin I'd have to have several tokes before going out  >:D

Wait, I think you're talking about something else.  :*))

I've always hated headgear, but I will cover up when I'm going to be out in the sun for extended periods of time and in the winter to keep my bald head from getting frostbit.

I live in south Texas, so during the summer, even when I had hair, I have a camo bushman's hat I'd wear when at the beach, on the river, or out and about, etc. Got sunburn once through my hair.

Depends on the mood wear, ball caps, hats, sometime go for nothing.  Always have something in my car in case a hail storm comes up .  When riding my Harley I always carried a helmet along , as those hail stones on the mellon hurt :o  a person loses alot of heat out of there head so should in colder weather wear something good and warm .

I have wore a cowboy since I was a little kid, but they just don't fit the same or stay on well being sly!  Especially in the Kansas wind.  I have experimented with about every hat I could find but just can't find anything that's comfortable.  With my job, I'm outside 10-14 hours/day in the blazing sun so need something for at least part of the day.  Still on the hunt for that special hat that comfortable and stays on when the wind picks up!

I wear a Ball cap or a flat cap to protect from the sun. I own a stetson cowboy hat as well that I will sometimes wear I guess it is just personal preference that day.

Golf or baseball cap. I wasn't really careful last year and I had a few extra visits to the dermatologist.

I do like something that doesn't fit to tight.
