So, the cold water/ice cube thing...
« on: February 23, 2008, 01:24:24 PM »
I was thinking about the "process" and I got myself a little confused. Basically, the "normal" routine says to use hot water to open the pores, shave in whatever fashion you choose, then use cold water or an ice cube to close the pores.

AFTER the coldness, most of use Bump Patrol or Clearhead or whatever to reduce the ingrown hairs. But, if the Pores are closed...does that mean we're rendering these products useless?

I dunno....I guess Im one of the more fortunate ones who doesnt have to use all that other stuff.  I just use the cold water rinse and the ice cube before I apply my final step....and thats clear aloe vera gel.  Sorry  bud....cant answer that one for ya

I would say "no."  If a product was designed to specifically affect someone's scalp while the pores were open it seems it would say on the label to apply while scalp was hot.

I don't think any final step product needs the pores to be open.

People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.
