yeah, pretty much a huge chip off the ol' block here. Except for the hair. We're about the same height and build. We have the same mannerisms and even a lot of the same personality in that we're both always joking and are good at getting along with a lot of people.
As I get older I look more and more like my Dad. especially when I shaved off my beard a while back; It was SCARY looking into the mirror. He had kind of a volatile personality; and I've inherited that somewhat. Lately; I wish I'd inherited some of his woodworking skills. There are some items for around the home / work that I'd like to be able to whip up like he did. ... I tried as a kid ; but just didn't have 'the knack.' ....
Totally different except for the tendency to be overweight.
My father disowned me when I was 17 and I joined the Marine Corps... he was a USN lifer.
I really dont see alot of similarities in my dad and I.
He is a very tough, hard as nails guy who wont hesitate to hurt someone's feelings. Even though he is almost 60 he will fight at the drop of a hat, even a young man.
I am more rational and levelheaded. I have a hard time hurting peoples feelings, and tend to just be an all around nice guy. He is the kind of guy who gets labeled an A-Hole
I don't look a whole lot like my dad; however, I have the same intellect and thought processes as my dad. We think a lot alike. We talk about stuff that only the two of us understand. My wife and my mom just sit there and roll their eyes or go do something else.
Inside we are exactly the same. Weird ain't it?
I have more physical characteristics of my father, ie... high forehead and cheek bones. I also have his patience, athletic abilties, mechanical skills, sweet tooth and beer gut. As for my mother I don't have her gift for gab, but I've been told that I do have her caring attitude and her humility.
