Ok guys, I don't wan't to put a downer on things here, however there are several of you on this forum, that I consider to be good friends, those that I correspond with on a regular basis (you know who you are) Not that I don't consider the rest of you friends, just some are closer than others. Boy I sound stupid (sorry).

Anyway this thread is about " The stupidest, most idiotic thing, you've ever done in your life..." So here it goes, the stupidest most idiotic  and selfish thing I've ever done is, 10 days ago today I tried to commit suicide. I've been going through a realy rough time as of late and thought that I had no other way out. I'm not quite comfortable enough to get into the spacifics as to why, but I'm working on getting help. I hope that none of you think any less of me, for what I have said, and please accept my apologies for not turning to you for someone to talk to, when I thought that I had nobody.

Tom...well all i can say is Im glad you are still here.  I cant say that I have ever been bogged down that bad to try to attempt anything like that.  We all have our bad times, some of us can deal with things better than others.  I dont know the whole story about you and not that it is any of my business...but what ever it was that pulled you thru it....im glad.  What ever power force of spirit or nature that grabbed ahold of you..im glad it did.  YOu can always come here and talk with us here....we are all here for you and each other.  God bless you Tom.....just glad you are here.

And here I can sound like a real hypocrit...cause really im not in the best of moods right now.  Not that anyone has done anything ...directly to me in here....but I dunno...maybe Ijust feel like saying screw it all.  Here I can tell Tom to come here and talk to us...and hell half the time I cant even do that myself..

WELL..Tom n Timm I myself know Exactly how AND what you r feeling !some of us have these feelings fairly often and others NEVER go thru these periods.and sometimes it doesnt take anything MAJOR to pull "you" down, Myself, I suffer from S.A.D.  seasonal affective disorder (winter time blues) badly i USUALLY start meds about thanksgiving and wean off about easter when the weather starts breaking.I hate being cooped up inside during the winter , This year in michigan hasnt been too bad , every week or 10 days we hit 40/50 so i can get outside and "enjoy life" a lil , They say at your low times its best to talk to someone , but when ya get REALLY down .... you dont want to deal with anybody PERIOD !  and the absolute LAST thing i need to hear someone say is " What do YOU have to be depressed about? you have SOMUCH going for you " and working nites in the winter is hell,BUT thanks to all of you out here in slydome it keeps my nite filled with  just reading all the imputs , so THANK YOU VERY MUCH   P.

                I just wanted to thank you all for the kind words and for the personal e-mails. Rest assured I am doing much better that that weekend that is for sure. I'm also getting help, Porky you were right on the money it wasn't any one thing in particular, ti was a combination of alot of little things, along with a couple larger ones. My biggest problem was I never wanted to burden anyone with what I was feeling, and the one person I did want to talk to was shutting me out, and I just let the pressure build and build till I exploded. I tend to act as though there isnt a worry in the world when I'm arround other people, and try not to think about it. Then when I'm by myself those worries and concerns are all I can think about.

But again thank you all for just being there, tis is absolutly the best site on the net!!

You can usually work out a good plea bargain arrangement in these situations.  Will cost some $$$$ but at least you get to live.

            Back in my early 30's I went thru a real bad stretch....I missed my son from my first marriage, found out my second wife was a whore and left her, etc., etc....... I was pretty miserable. So I did some serious soul searching. I thought long and hard about things to try and figure out why my life was such a mess. I took a good look in the mirror and decided that I needed to decide what I had to do to change the things about myself that were adding to my miserable life.
           It's not easy admitting your own short comings..... especially when there are others you can easily blame. But i did it. Then i went to work on changing those things about myself. It was like life started over for me. Life has been excellent ever since and I'm now 47 years old.

          My advice:

1) Wake up everyday telling yourself, "Man, it's a great day to be alive". (It sure beats the alternative)
2) Get happy with yourself first. (If you're happy with yourself, others will feed off that positive energy)
3) Laugh HARD every single day.... even if it's at something stupid.
4) Take a few minutes a day to pray (or at least reflect)
5) Love with your whole heart....
6) Slow down and appreciate the smallest of things
7) Do the RIGHT thing..... even when it's the hardest thing to do
Surround yourself with positive people (You will feed off of their positive energy)
9) Don't ever really grow up..... that's right.... have fun! Be the adult that goofs off with the kids, do something silly that most adults  wouldn't do....
