Friends and others you have convinced to go "sly"
« on: January 02, 2008, 07:52:43 AM »
This morning I had the pleasure of getting a email from a fellow who used to be the associate pastor at my church.  He has progressing MPB and I have good naturedly encouraged him to go sly.  In fact, I mentioned about him in my story about being the best HeadBlade owner.  Anyway, about a year ago, when Pastor Tim made a hair cut mistake and got to "almost sly", I gave him a HeadBlade and a bottle of HeadSlick.  So today, I get a pic of him totally sly.  I am curious as to how he convinced his wife to let him do that.  That had been the reason that he had not done it before.  Anyway,  I thought you would like some pics of my friends that I influenced to go "Sly".  The top picture is Pastor Tim.  Second is my buddy Ted.  Last pic is my friend Lou and myself!

good one.

I keep trying with my cousins husband.  Whenever I see him he says how cool my dome is and how he wishes he had the 'courage' to go sly too.  He's got very advanced MPB and he's just a little older than me (38).  I tell him to go for it, but he always seems to have an excuse: the weather, his work, his wife...maybe he just aint got what it takes... 8)

My dad went sly right after I did.  He had worn a flat top for many years.  He is now BBC.  Also, I had a friend over Christmas, who has a full set of hair, tell me he was jealous because he would love to shave his off but is afraid of how he would look.  Considering I wore a wig for 23 years, I never dreamed anyone would be jealous of my head.  Kind of neat, really.  O0

Well,

Here is a quick update about Pastor Tim, the former associate pastor at my church, that I convinced to go "sly".

I was at my pastor's house tonight and brought up the fact that I had gotten a email from Pastor Tim.  I had asked Pastor Gary if Pastor Tim had told him why he shaved his head.  I should add that Pastor Tim has been too busy to answer my email.  But I digress.  Anyway, my pastor told me that Tim had done it on the spur of the moment without telling his wife.  But I was also told that Tim really likes it.  Also, while his wife was shocked at first, now she really likes it.  So it looks like we have a happy ending to the story.  But I am still looking forward to hearing Tim's version of the story.

I should also mention that my pastor mentioned that he thought it looks good on Tim and that he looks younger!
