Disadvantage - headcuts don't stop bleeding
« on: January 14, 2008, 08:04:23 PM »
Why is it that headcuts (from shaving) are bleeders?!?!?

Nothing to hide it either.

Seems like my main problem is the ears.  And these will not stop bleeding without the syptic pencil.

I had that until I found the right blade/prep combination for my scalp.

To stop it I would use a variation on the little piece of TP ... pretty much a folded up square of TP soaked in Listerine. Stops the bleeding every time, and doesn't evaporate quickly like rubbing alcohol.

I'm always afraid I'm going to walk out in public with a little piece of TP on my head.

man...i hate the headcuts.  thankfully, i only had one bad incident.  it happened during my 1st few months of being sly.  as most of u know....my wifey shaves my dome 75% of the time.  anyways....this was my 1st time shaving independently (my wifey was out of town visiting the in-laws).  i exclusively use the fusion (manual) but i wanted 2 B different in hope of saving $$$ & tried out the disposable gillette sensor 3.  that head cut took awhile 2 stop bleeding.  i have been using the fusion since. unfortunately.. there was not a regular band-aid in the house except 4 the winnie -the-pooh band-aids my wife has in her cabinet.  well...i sported that winnie-the-pooh band-aid for 12.5 hours at work. >:(

everybody at the hospital got a kick out of my band-aid, so i kept it on & just told them that i wanted 2 show my sensitive side. O0

I bet it has something to do with your scalp having far more blood vessels then other areas of your body. I didn't know they kept bleeding though. I was under the impression that they stopped bleeding relatively quickly.

Bleeding out the dome sucks though.
