shaving the dome vs. shaving the face

<< < (2/3) > >>

D.A.L.U.I.:
Same routine, same weapon--Fusion Power--, same shave cream--Headslick, same prep--baby oil, same after shave balm--Nivea.  Only difference, 10% Benzoyl Peroxide to scalp after cold water rinse and towel dry.  Also, the loofa sponge pad in the shower first on the scalp & face.

herronm:
Same routine and the same tools (Gillette Good News blades, KoS oil, cold water rinse, Bald Guyz gel on everything that got shaved).

Max

Oakley:
It seems like I work alot harder on my dome than my face.

On my face I use Gillette throw away razors, cheap Barbasol shave cream, no cold rinse, and an alcohol based aftershave.  I have no problems at all with razor burn or anything else.

My head gets the deluxe (and expensive) treatment though...Just like the rest of the guys

Marz:
After a good cleaning (and exfoliating 2-3 times a week) I proceed to shave. I am a shower shaver so this all takes place in the shower.

Head -  small amount of headslick brought to a lather with a shaving brush, headblade, rinse.

face - Williams shaving soap applied with a brush and either use the old single blade gillette unless I am in a hurry then I use the quattro.

rinse whole head and face with cool water.

apply Mary Kay after shave gel for men to head and face

apply headlube to skull.

done.

I am the same 2 you. I do not use a cold water rise afterwards. However when face shaving I like to use an alcohol based aftershave(Old Spice). It burns like hell but it has been something I've done since I first started shaving.

Do you find the alcohol content in that numbs any afterburn you've aquired whilst shaving?

Well I dont have a very thick beard on my face so quite often I will shave without any lubricant. I suppose the stinging from the alcohol  does have a sort of numbing effect.
