Hey guys...wassup by the way? Im writing this in hopes maybe someone in here can relate to what has been happening to me. I dont want to call one of those pshyic people to figure this out ...but im at witts end tryin to figure it out.
Ever since I was little...say around 5 or 6 I have this dream, scary dream at that. Its a very short dream and I seem to remember it all perfectly. I had this dream again last night and everytime I have it ...i sit straight up and I am just terrified. The dream takes place in like a deep dark tunnel, very cave like. Wet, cold and dark. With me in the dream is my dad and up in the far corner sorta standing there on a ledge is like this wizzard. He isnt so much as scary or anything like that because he isnt really doing any harm to us ...but its like we are trying to get to him. In the dream me and my dad are being tumbled around, up and over these long rolling like rocks. Its almost as if they were crushing us. It is when I get the vision of us rolling up and over is where i get really frightened in the dream and it wakes me up. Once I wake up, im in a sweat and can not go back to sleep. Last night when it happened.....i woke up and it was like 3 am....my parents live about two streets over and one block north...i had to walk over there to make sure everything was quiet. I couldnt go back to sleep until i checked.
So has anyone else ever experienced any dreams like this and have had the same reaction???
Dreams are our subconcious talking to us. Usually recurring dreams represent a conflict that's not being resolved. For the specific interpretations you would probably need to consult a professional.
My only recurring dream is I can fly when I hold my breath.
Dude check this site out
http://www.dreammoods.com/I have only had a reoccuring dream once. It was a dream that my step-mother kept dying. I had this same dream for like a week when I was a teenager. It used to creep me out!
All my dreams happen in my "dreamworld" as best as I can describe it.
Several themes lately have revolved around my grandmothers cliff and beach and sea glass that I have to pick up and horde, but there is always too much to carry.
Anyone else practice lucid dreaming?
shdwwlk -- I've dabbled in lucid dreaming. Not so much lately.
Timmj -- I'd suggest that before you go to sleep set the idea in mind that you want to understand that dream. Then go to sleep. You might get a different view of things.
