Our church is having a family oriented new years eve party.  We bring the kids in their pajamas and bring their sleeping bags.  The adults have a dance in the fellowship hall with our praise band.  Then at 11 we have a communion service in the chapel.  This is the first year we have tried this, but it sounds like fun.  (The wife and I will have the drinks after we get home)  We Methodists frown on drinking in the actual church.  What we do at home though, well..........

What happens behind closed doors is your business ...right GAS LOL...I am not sure what we will be doing yet.  Last year was a total waste of time, the most boring New Years Eve we had ever spent......maybe because last years was on Sunday.  I imagine we will be somewhere...but where.  Our church is having a lock in for the Jr high students....we thought about going out there and helping out.  They are having a dance too...but ya know....maybe it is just me....but have you ever seen anyone at a dance...dancing to Christian music...I can just imagine doing the electric slide  to Amazing Grace! LOL

We always lie low on New Years.  We'll stay home and have lobster and a few cocktails.  Then we always go out for brunch on New Years Day.  Nice and relaxing ...

Having a ladyfriend over for a homemade Paella dinner and then doing a neighborhood party so no one has to drive on amateur night.  Usually get a game going like Scene It, just a laid back New Years.   Have to save some energy for all the Bowl games.

We will be having some friends over for a get together, having a few beverages. Enjoying the NYE fireworks that Sydney AUST is famous for from our great front deck vantage point. Wont get too badly messed as I have to work early the next morning.Triple time and a Half!

We are still trying to figure out our plans. Paul said it best when he called NYE "amateur night". Our local police force justifyably is vigilant on DUI's here, so we're either going to a neighbor's house (family deal), or the four of us will bring it in quietly at home with a nice meal, a fine bottle of wine, and some board games. Boring to some, but it'd be a great way to spend the last evening of 2007. Starting 2008 with a raging hangover is not my idea of fun.

I think Im gonna hit every bar in town...get totally wasted at each one...then DRIVE to the next one...then maybe hit the all night Dennys down the road...walk in falling all over the floor...chow down...then go back and hit a few bars, walk in make a total ass of myself, slam a few shots of tequila down, get back in the car and DRIVE to another bar....stumbling in making a fool of myself, sing a lil bit of Karokee...she bangs she bangs......do a few dance numbers on a table....leave that bar...go to another one and just totally trash the place.....maybe slam another two or three tequilas......the walk home....cause i wouldnt want to get hurt.

Please, everyone, use your head.  Dont be stupid, have a designated driver if you are going out and just remember you dont have to be drunk to have a good time.  I myself, would like to see everyone back in here on Jan 1,2008 and im sure everyone else feels the same.  Too go to a bar and have a few drinks is quite alright.......but just remember the innocent people out there on the roads that you will be affecting.  Happy New Year 2008 to everyone.
