Thanks for all the replies!  I'm going into day 2 so the support is welcome.

No no no ...not that lotion that turns you orange..i will have to look at the stuff my wife has.  It is very pale in color...
not like that sunless tannign lotion that turns your hands orange when you use it..  this is like a real gradual toning lotion.....just keeps teh whiteness away.

Tim, I bought some of that exact product last night.  It's made by Jergens and it's just a lotion with a hint of a sunless tanning product within.  it says it takes several days for the color to change, so I'm going to give it a try.  I'll start a new post and document how it does for me.

I figure with the holiday break it will be a good time to experiment!

Hey Anthony, have you ever tried surfing behind a boat?  Here's a pic of me surfing behind our Malibu a couple of years ago.

I tried surfing in the ocean last year at the OBX, but never could get the hang of it.  I borrowed a friends longboard, but didn't hve the time required to learn.

Welcome, Chris.  Glad you've joined us. You look really very good with your sly shining dome.

My wife too doesn't like my baldness very much. She thinks if I let my hair regrow that the long black curls come again, which I had when we married 27 years ago and which she so liked!
But no, time has gone. There would be just greyish-white strubbles. And she knows, sly - that's me now, that's my confidence now and I feel good.

Welcome Chris! My wife isn't too thrilled with my SLY dome either. She deals with it though. Glad to have you with us.

Welcome Chris.  I'm another w/ a wife less than happy.  Maybe they ought to start an associate forum for grumbling wives?

Chris,  You do rock the look, buddy.  Hopefully the wife will embrace it eventually.  Many of the guys here went through the same experience, including me.  It might be a little different for you since you are not balding, and the wife probably can't understand it.
How is that Hopey / Changey thing working for you?

Actually, I really do need some opinions (and I appreciate yours) as I really don't know whether this look is right for me or not.

.

IS IT RIGHT FOR YOU ?  What you talkin about Willis....Dude you rock the look bro.  Hell yes it looks good.  Bro you have to give it the 30 days.  I have been meaning to ask in the forums about how to make the top a little darker.  Has anyone thought about that lotion that gives you a tan.  THey have some that are light med and dark...i thogut I would try some that was the light and work my way to the medium.  Just didnt know if that would work or not.  Just seeing what everyone else thougth about ...but as for you ..bro.....LOOKS GREAT! KEEP IT

Welcome Blue, I say you rock the look!  O0

I remember SlyInKC did some kinda tanless product when he first went Sly, Maybe he can advise you and TimmJ what he used and how sucessful it was.

I used the one by Nuetrogena.  It was probably similar.  Gave a little color.  Nothing drastic, at all.
