Quattro Users?
« on: December 15, 2007, 10:49:23 PM »
basically, in my ongoing search for the perfect shave, i've tried the mach 3 turbo, the schick quattro, the gillette atra, and a couple others not worth mentioning.  the quattro, despite the ridiculousness of it, is really great for me so far.  it has a feeling of 'vacuuming' up the hair--like that drag you feel but in a comfortable way.  i haven't been nicked, have minimal burn after five shaves with the same razor.  anybody use this blade/have anything to add/suggest?
i'm going to continue experimenting forever, but i think i might have found the right blade for me.  though so many here are adamant about the fusion.

Hey, Asher, I'm with ya, Bro.  I think I've tried every razor out there and I keep coming back to my Quattro.  The Fusion probably gives just as good of a shave but at a more expensive price.  I've had great results with my Quattro and have had very few problems.  I think the Quattro has been way too under-rated.

FUSION, Baby !!!

Started with the FUSION almost a year ago and have never had to try anything else.

And, no, you and/or your family will not wind up in a homeless shelter because of the added expense.

Rob, I'll agree the cheap-skate side of me does tend to come through on this issue.  But I honestly do not find that the Fusion does a better job than the Quattro.  They really do about the same.  So, if I can get as good a shave for a cheaper price....You bet I'm gonna do it...Cheap-skate or not.

I hated the Quattro, but loved the Xtreme III and would still be using it if I hadn't discovered Headblade.  I would have thought the Quattro would have been awesome based on my liking of the Xtreme III, but I had terrible results.  I'm glad you Quattro users are getting great results... that's what it's all about, finding what works.
How is that Hopey / Changey thing working for you?

I used the Quattro for about a year and a half.  Then I tried the Fusion.  I never had a problem with my Quattro, but I did try the Fusion because I kept hearing everyone talking about it.  Both works extremely well so I switch back and forth between the two.

I have a Quattro that I use on my face once in awhile. I used it on my head when I first got it but now I am strictly headblade on the head. It is a good razor, as is the Fusion, I still have blades for the quattro so thats why it gets use. never had a problem with it on the face or skull just takes longer.

I'm not a fan of the Quattro. The reason being is those "safety wires" that cover the blades. They are there to prevent nicks and cuts, but I felt that they sacrificed the closeness of the shave

i've tried the quattro and it has given me a good shave but i hate the "stiff" feel when i hold the handle.  the fusion (manual) still gets me the best shave and i like the feel of the handle.  it fits like a glove. O0

I get the smoothest shave with the Quattro, no cuts, I think because the thin wires do work to keep the blades aligned enough.
