Mr. Clean desktop icons
« on: December 07, 2006, 06:52:34 AM »
I know this is a little weird, but as I was skimming through the net the other day, in search
of desktop icons for Windows, I stumbled across this nice little series of icons featuring Mr. Clean.

Ah, we all know Mr. Clean now, don't we?

Anyways, I downloaded them and they work well as icons for folders with bald related material
(or even with folders entitled "Housework" or "Pep Talk" - isn't he cute?).

You can rush to the download site at http://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=2910&LibID=39

...or you may curse now for having wasted 2 minutes of your time. Both are perfectly valid reactions.

Oh, I forgot to post instructions on how to install them, for those of you who aren't
that experienced in installing that kind of thing.

So, you go to the site, hit the download bottom and download them to your desktop (or anywhere else on your hard drive, for that matter). Now you've got a zip-folder on your desktop. Double click it and it should open. Drag and drop all of the files into your System32 folder (a subfolder in the windows folder on your C drive).

To use the icon on a folder, right-click the folder, hit "properties", then "customize", then "change icon".
A new window opens up. Click "browse". The System32 folder opens up. That's where the icons are located. Find the Mr. Clean icon (there are 6 or 7 of them, all in different colours), double-click it, then click ok, then "apply". And you're done, and Mr. Clean's now officially on your computer...and in your life.
