Hi yall!
Little Joe here up in VA, going bald and cutting my hair shorter and shorter.
For a couple of years now my wife has kept me from buzzing my head, (as shown in picture taken this summer) so right now I have a few inches on top. I'm joining the sly community this month however, because I'm shaving my head to support my mom going through chemo. I'm hoping to get some good tips on razor shaving as well.
It's an added bonus that I've got a continuously faster receding hairline, so I'll get to see what I look like when I'm 30 anyway!
Glad to finally join yall!

Hey Joe ...Welcome bro. You have come to the right place. This site is loaded wiht tons of info. There is something for everyone. But just ask questions if you need too. Remember no question is a stupid one....we all have been there and done that. So post up....do the deed and enjoy your new life. You have to give it the 30 day trial period..then decide if you want to remain smooth. Good Luck and Merry Christmas!

Thanks for the welcome!
Mom is starting chemo first week of January, and probably buzzing her hair January 1. That's when I'll do it as well.

Welcome Joe. What you're doing to support your mom is great. Hope all goes well with her.
If you haven't made a choice on razors, there's a lot of headblade users (me included) that have gotten great results from their razor. their website is
www.headblade.com. There's a great video on how to shave on their site. check it out.
FYI, I first shaved my head on New Year's Day 2007 and haven't looked back! I love the look and it truly is a liberating feeling to go sly!

Cheers,
Schro

Joe, I'm sorry to hear about your mother. It's good that you're there to support her. What can your wife say? You're doing it for your mom (and you, shhhh). Best wishes to your mom for a full recovery.
