I've watched it from time to time and it can be motivational.  But I guess not enough for me because I can never seem to get myself in gear enough to workout.   :-\

Billy Blanks' Tae-Bo workout videos. The ones that I use are called "Impact" and they involve using various punch/kick combinations on a pedestal bag. You could probably use a heavy bag if you don't have a pedestal bag. I don't think they actually produce this series (2 tapes) anymore but I have seen them on ebay. They cause an excellent sweat and all the trunk twisting is great for the abs and back.

I watch Biggest Loser, too. One thing that bothers me about it is some of the game playing. People on the show are so worried about the other guy that they constantly try to form alliances to vot the best people off. If they would pay more attention to their own sh*t I'd think they would want to compete against the best and cut the ones who lack motivation. I also get bored with how they spin commercials into the show. Like Bob telling one of the competitors how many calories they can save by chewing some brand of sugar free gum instead of eating a peanut butter cup or a burrito.

It's funny but I love to watch shows where people get into shape like biggest loser and celebrity fit club, but I usually sit down and eat a whole pizza while doing it!  WTF! :)  I know I can use self control and lose weight....I did it once before and lost 55 lbs, exercising, eating smaller meals with salads and allowed 1 soda a day and I only walked at a fast pace on a treadmill 3 times a week and lost about 2 lbs a week....so I know I can do it....but as in the movie "Office Space"  You know Bob, the problem is a lack of motivation.... :)

The only time I've seen that show is when my fingers were too greasy from the potatoe chips to pick up the remote.

Seriously, though, it is a great motivator, but as a previous winner, who had gained some weight back after the show said, "losing weight was my job".  He had no other obligations other than to lose weight.  He had all day to work on it.

However, I once again agree, it is a great motivator, because most people don't need all day to exercise to lose weight.
