Question about trimming

Hey I've got MPB but not ready to go sly just yet.  Just a question.  If I go to the barber and get like a #3 or #4 how many inches long will the hair be?

This picture of me was with a #3 I'm pretty sure.   I would guess it's about 0.5 inches.

I will echo the sentiment that you will find alot here. Go for it.

Many individuals say that it takes 3 weeks to get used to it. Others like it immediately. Myself, it took 6 weeks to even recognise myself.

My hair grows really fast so I get to choose on an almost daily basis how short I want it. If I go a week, it's goes from a #0 to a #2. It actually fun having some options.

It's funny though, I see alot of guys with MPB and I find myself trying to invision them sly or buzzed. In almost every case I think it looks good.

One of the things I used to worry about was if I could still dress in fun clothes or would it look like some guy having a mid-life crisis. When you go sly or even buzz, it becomes a non-issue. Look at Howie Mandel. That guy looks awsome.
