Hey all just wondering..what is your favorite holiday dessert? I have many many many but the two tops would have to be the traditional Pumpkin Pie with a huge scoop of cool whip on top and cranberry jello salad( the one wiht the jello, pineapple, apples and nuts...ohhhhhh damn....I cant wait! actually sitting here eating a homemade pumpkin pie right now...the kids..their halloween jackolanterns were sittin outside and they were lookin a little droopy so i chopped em up and a pie!....oh is that why it taste like soot! I thought they were a little darker than it should have been.

My aunt always makes this stuff called "Banana Split Cake" made with cool whip, bananas, pineapple, and some other stuff. I could eat the whole thing, but I'd better not. I don't think it's on my new low-fat, low-cholesterol diet. This Thanksgiving may be hard with the new eating rules.

Hey all just wondering..what is your favorite holiday dessert?
i would have 2 choose either a pecan pie or my mother-in-law's famous poundcake.

This Thanksgiving may be hard with the new eating rules.
hey rick...don't worry about the new eating rules during the holiday season. just remember moderation... if that helps.

I agree. Enjoy yourself -- within reason, of course. Just remember it's one day and after that it's back on your regimen. It's the leftovers that will kill you. Unfortunately, for a lot of people, Thanksgiving is just the start of the holiday eating season, which seems to continue non-stop until New Year's. If you can limit your indulgences to just the holiday itself, you should be fine.

I really don't know how to answer this question. Rarely have I come across a dessert that I didn't like. I'm not a big fan of pumpkin pie, though. My mother makes great cheesecakes, but I don't think she's planning on making one for Thanksgiving.
