Razor, I wouldn't have recognized you.  The old pic wasn't too bad; at least you weren't trying to do something 'creative' with your hair.  Sly is much better, though.

People who haven't seen me in a very long time DON'T recognize me.   About a month ago, I literally bumped into someone  who I hadn't seen in about 8 years.  It took me a minute to realize who he was -- he'd lost his hair too and had a long, unbuzzed fringe and a few long strands on top.  Hadn't aged well at all.  It wasn't somebody I really wanted to talk to.  I stood there frozen for a minute and then realized that he totally didn't recognize me.  I just excused myself and moved on and he was never any the wise.

Today I came across another old photo from 2001.  It's a distant shot and it actually took a moment or two before I realized that it was me in the photo.  When I first saw it, I thought it was my dad.  :o :o

It's an interesting photo, Nomad.  I wouldn't say you look "bad" in the 'before' ....  or that you look "better" sly. ... you certainly look different sly, though;  'edgy-er' more 'dangerous' ... that kind of thing.

Sly looks better -- more up-to-date, contemporary, etc.

Life has three aspects: Paradox, Humor, and Change.

Paradox: Life is a mystery; don't waste time figuring it out.
Humor: Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure
Change: Know that nothing stays the same.

You look good either way, but you do seem more confident in the sly pic.
