Yesterday, I saw one of my daughter's friends (both 14 year-olds) for the first time since going sly. Her comments were "I love it. You look really ghetto." I'm glad she liked it but not quite sure what the "ghetto" look is.
Guess we're turning into our parents.

I'm listening to slang that I have never heard before either. When either of my kids say something is _____________ (fill in the current term), I just ask them, "Why don't you just say 'That is great / awesome / cool' or what ever they want to use? A couple of terms they've come home with sound more derogatory than complimentary.
Yeah, like saying someone looks 'sick' when they are perfectly well and don't look sick to me at all...Apparently looking sick is looking cool!?!

So I guess we all look slick and sick, brutha's!
I remember saying "Bad" as a kid and it meaning good.
Marz - "Wow, that Camaro is bad!"
Dad - "I think that is a great Camaro, whats wrong with it?"
Marz - "Thats what I meant, its bad like good"
Dad - "You are an idiot son... are you sure your not the mail mans boy?"
old ladies tend to cross the road when I'm walkin past, but then I give em the smile and they always look plesantly surprised. Sometimes when I'm in a store I can see the security guards keepin an eye on me as if they think I'll be stealin something soon as their backs are turned.
Its an image thing: people see the shaved head and immediately assume you're a bad a$$, but when they get to know me they soon realise they were wrong.
But I agree with andrew that its FUN sometimes!
A buddy and I used to have that same problem with mall security before I ever went SLY. They would follow us all the way through the mall, so we'd just walk aimlessly and laugh at them.
I've not been to an airport since going sly, but I'm expecting to be followed and questioned ....
Nah, airports are no biggie. Just leave the knives, sawed offs, bottled water and baby formula at home and they won't care.

No Andrew, you won't be followed or questioned. No more than any other passenger would if they've alarmed. In fact you won't believe how many sly guys there are at the airport. (passengers, workers.)
Just follow Schro's advice and you'll be fine, lol.
Make sure you take your laptop and other electronics of the same size; dvd players, etc.
out of their cases and into a bin by themselves. cpap's will also need to go through x-ray.
