Finally he was convinced to go see another doctor. She gave him specific dietary rules (low carb and sugar free basically) and told him to walk or ride a bike for at least a half hour 3-5 times a week.
Long story short, he has been off the HBP and Diabetes meds for about a year and has lost a good amount of weight (30 - 40 lbs).
JUst goes to show what a change of lifestyle can do.

I'm convinced that weight loss is one of the MAIN ingredients to living well. Look at that candidate Huckabee, whether you agree with him or not, he was diagnosed diabetic, etc. and when he lost 100 pounds, that all went away. I've also read one of the benefits to the obsese who get stomach stapling regain normal blood sugars w/o drugs. We know a woman who had the staple procedure and her arthritis went away. Got to do that really tough exercise everyday--PUSH AWAY FROM THE TABLE. Toughest one out there.

HEY< ISNT THAT what the u.s. ecomony is all ABOUT ? get everybody on some sort of mind controlling med and then were(general public) will be easier to convince"brainwash" of whatever they WANT us to believe ! BESIDES in "high"school wasnt that the basic mantra? better living thru chemistry ? does anybody know of a drug for TIMMJ dyslexia so taht he can tpye starghit agian O0 you hnag in tehre mmitj :*))
