Yep, I'm very much aware of who he is.  Just wanted to make a point that you don't need great looks to get a hot chick.
But it looks like his wife might have had a positive effect on his appearance.
Some of her beauty is rubbing off on the guy.

She works with SLY Tom Colicchio, so she probably suggested to hubbie that SLY was the way to go.

I totally agree!
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

SLY Howie was probably the best on Top Chef: Season 3.

He came in as a smug, arrogant chef who knew what he was doing and had the hometown advantage being from Miami. Throughout the course of his run on the show, he began having a nervous breakdown. He started becoming an a$$hole and began looking as everyone in the house as an enemy. Him and Sarah frquently butted heads because they didn't see eye-to-eye and are both stubborn. I spent my wednesdays waiting for the moment that Howie would redeem himself.

He did on his final episode when he wanted to address the panel after they dressed down Brian, who under the "Tre Rule" was going to be eliminated for being the executive chef after a train wreck of a cocktail party. Everyone thought that Howie was going to find a way to weasel out of the running of worst chef and survive another day. Instead, Howie volunteered to go home INSTEAD of Brian, final achieving what I had wanted from him all season. The judges wouldn't let Howie leave, claiming that they wouldn't let him take the voting power from the judges, but they did end up voting him off. He walked away form the show, with his confidence in tact and his head held high.
