A quick update on smoothie opportunities I replaced the peanut butter with hazelnut butter. It worked great.

Yumm, that would be good!
You'll also notice that after the first week you're stomach will start to require less food to feel full.
Well, it's been a week since I started this diet, and I think you are right. I am starting to require less food. I was skeptical because I am
always hungry, especially at night. But I can't remember the last time I went a whole week without feeling hungry (without pigging out, that is).
The only thing I have really done differently is to incorporate the smoothies into my diet. I've found that they keep me feeling fuller so I pick less - and that's allowed me to stay away from processed carbs like pretzels, crackers, etc., which have been my downfall up to now. I've also been grabbing a quick handful of nuts or a piece of string cheese when I get home from work, which takes the edge of my appetite, so I don't eat as much at dinner time.
I think I'm finally beginning to see a difference. I think my stomach has gotten a little flatter. I'm not there yet, but I can definitely see a difference. I have been trying to break this plateau for months, so it really feels good to finally have found something that seems to be working.

New smoothie recipe...yummy!
Remember Orange Julius?
Well, I have the ultimate protien/fiber/vitamin C shake that taste just like one.
Here it goes.
1/2 cup non-fat milk
1/2 cup Shaman's Immunity by Sambazon (
http://www.sambazon.com or Whole Foods). It's Acerola Cherry and Ginger juice from Brazil and packs a ton of vitamin C and other anti-oxidants.
3 tbsp of non-fat vanilla yogurt
1 cup of oatmeal - cooked or uncooked
2 scoops of vanilla Whey Protien.
1/2 pack of Orange Crystal Light On the go.
6 to 10 cubes of ice - depending on how thick you like it.
If you don't want to buy the Shaman's Immunity, you can use orange juice. If you have fresh or frozen oranges, you can throw them in there also.

I'm going to have to give this one a try. I need a new smoothie recipe and this really sounds good. Thanks.
i just got a copy of the ABS DIET book. my biggest problem is my schedule. not really a whole bunch of exercise to be done on a boat that is only 150' long and bulit for work only. but i am determined to do something. any advice or input is welcomed.
Cut your head off. Instant loss of 30 pounds and you rid yourself of something you never use anyway.
Hey, just trying to help.

my head does not weigh 30#s. not all of us have an elephant man sized head schro. but i will not tell any one about YOUR freakishly large melon. ok? glad we agree. ha ha ha
Hey PBurke, there's exercises that are provided that you can do without a gym or much space. Push ups, squats with just your body weight, leg lunges, etc.
After reading the book and seeing the food groups that you can eat from, pick a few items that you really like and eat those as often as you can. I've found that the more you try to mix things up, the harder it is to keep within guidelines. It's boring, but it's effective.
thanks T. i am seeing that while reading the book. what is gonna be hard for me is on the boats, they usually have quick junk food. stuff that can be nuked or just cooked easily in rough weather. which usually means NOT EVEN REMOTELY HEALTHY. ha ha but i am gonna give it a shot. wanna finish the book first.
