Reasons you have for staying bald.

We've heard many different reasons about our decision to shave off our hair. I've attempted to grow back my hair a couple dozen times but I always find a reason to shave it all off again. One good reason is that I break out in a terrible case of folliculitis mostly on the back of my head. It completely disappears when I keep it shaved, but always returns when I stop shaving. Other reasons I keep shaving is that I love the clean feeling of a bald head. I guess we can always come up with some reasons to keep running that razor over our heads!

Here are mine:  I love the smooth feel of a fresh shave.  I dislike the Velcro action of the stubble on my shirts or hats.  I dislike the look of my stubble or hair (this would not be the case if I could grow a cool looking flattop like you @reddog or @Semi-Sly ). I think my beard looks better with a shaved stubble-free head.

Semi-Sly:
The reason that I do not stay bald is that I do not like the way it looks on me. I think it makes me look like every other old man in Florida, but when I do shave my head as I am planning again for the new year, I love the feeling of how clean it feels.

@Semi-Sly , I'm just the opposite. I think when I wear a snow white flattop it makes me look older. I guess I think a shaved head is a little edgy and non conformist. When I was growing up in the 60's and 70's, the only guys that had a flattop were old men, holding on to a 50's hairstyle. Of course the flattop became popular again in the 90's, and I wore one for a few years then.

It's great we see different styles different personally. As I've gotten older, I think less about what people think, and just go for what I like myself. Most of the time I like having a smooth bald noggin!

Well, I am joining in on a cancer fund-razor event on or about New Year's Eve so I will keep it shaved after that for at least four months - and then maybe who knows?
