@jason_greets  I have read some of your posts, and I can also relate to your stories and experiences as well. Good on returning to the bald look! Similar to you, I love the smooth bald look. I have looked even into some posts on scalp laser hair removal, and it is a fascinating topic. For now, I do think change (including hairstyles) is good.

I shaved my head for the first time nearly nine years ago.  I kept it three or four days and let it grow back.  Several months later, I did it again and kept it over 30 days, but eventually let it grow out again.  I went back and forth for a couple of years, shaving my head mainly for a summer haircut.  Finally, about four and a half years ago, I shaved and never looked back.  It took me a couple of years to get into a good routine, including choosing a razor and shaving cream that works well for me.  I plan on staying a bald guy for life!

@O2BSly "Why stress over it" is what I say. I started shaving my head about 18 years ago (hard to believe!). I had a full head of hair too. I kept buzzing my hair shorter each time I got a haircut. Finally, I worked up the nerve to just shave it. I fell in love with it, and a bald head suits me. My family did not like my buzzcuts and my friends didn't like my longer hair (think Beverly Hills 90210 style). I didn't like my longer hair because I was never good at styling it. Shaving my head was easy, and I liked it and everyone else liked it. But I think you should do what you prefer and not what others think.

However, I could still grow a full head of hair.  So I would shave my hair and kept it that way for almost a year and then I would let it grow back in for a change and get a more manageable short haircut. Then I would shave again. It's cyclical. I enjoy having it all ways because it's fun. My hair is thinning, and eventually I will throw in the towel and just settle for keeping my head shaved all the time. But in the meantime, I'm going to have fun with what I have while I have it.

Hi and thanks @chuck63 and @Razorhead

Yip it can be fun to change things up from time to time (although I've definitely let the mop get too long in recent times)

Can see myself being more likely to experiment with a little covering during the colder months. The one time I did a shave during late autumn/fall and the weather suddenly turned cold, I ended up wearing a beanie almost 24/7 for about two weeks  ;D
