Actually, I have recommended not shaving to a few people over the years. Some guys just don't have the head for it.

Like I said many times, if you see guys with a shaved bald head, and think they look great, that is a good indication you would like sporting a smooth bald head. I had a friend and two neighbors with a shaved heads that looked great, and that convinced me to shave off my full head of silver hair. I was just going to shave it one time, but by the end of the first day, my honey said she wanted me to keep it shaved. That shocked me as she was totally against me going bald!
