Shaving Routine

Does anyone else feel itchy if they don’t shave everyday or at least every other day. If i go two days without shaving my head feels incredibly itchy and the hair on top of my head feels awful lol. I get a better shave on day 2 but its hard to get to that point without the itchiness. Also its hard to resist the feeling of a smooth shave.

I might get some itching later in the day after shaving. It’s usually an indicator that it’s time to change the blade especially if it’s a little red. Also try a moisturizer. By shaving you are scraping away natural oils. I typically use aveeno with SPF 15 sunblock. With a bald head, you are getting more sun exposure which leads to dryness. I also use aloe gel sometimes for a little soothing. It also leaves the head shiny….glossy look.

Yes, I think it's very common to get itchy when a little hair grows back. Mine gets that way after 4 or 5 days. Good excuse to shave everyday! And yes, many of us are totally hooked on a silky smooth head, so we shave everyday.

Yes if I go more than two days without shaving my scalp could get a little itchy but that seems to go away after a few more days if I don’t shave.

when I try to grow it out and actually be ticklish for a few weeks and that’s part of the drives me crazy when I try to grow my hair out
