Your hair, your choice.  I have often considered an epilator myself.  Fortunately I have little shadow because my hair was almost completely gray or white when I started shaving.

I do understand the questions, it is not often people see a young man with a shaved head, but even more unusual when totally hairless.  If I saw you, my first reaction would be the thought you must be taking cancer treatments.  But I would not ask, because that is personal.

What about the pain level on your beard hair?  Beard hairs are typically coarser than even head hair, and the face is more pain sensitive I assume.  Also, do you ever think you would consider beard hair in the future?

We have had a few guys post shaved eyebrows before, and even shaved eyelashes.  But I do not recall anyone with totally epilated.

Typically mature beard hairs are coarser than head hair; but for most guys at your age, likely not.  Beard hair starts in late teens and most guys do not see fully matured beard hairs until their 30 on average, and for many in their 40's.  Very few guys get full beard maturity in their early 20's.  I was in the later type and it was in my 40's for me.  At you age I just hade a little growth on my chin and mustache.  Although no one can tell you with confidence when you may experience your personal full beard maturity, you still have a lot of time when it could happen.
