Expect the unexpected
Sir Harry:
First post in a while:
I underwent shoulder/bicep surgery in early December, and as a result, I am now in physical therapy. I am now in my seventh week of 12. I usually wear a cap to coordinate with my shirt, but this time I didn't wear one and I had just got a barber headshave. My physical therapist, when she was doing the stem massage on my shoulder says "Did you shave your head recently?" I told her yes, I went to the barber. As some of you know, I got an SMP procedure back in 2015, but she said that "your haircut looks fairly fresh!" The other therapists stopped to check out my head (all were female). No head rubs, but all the attention felt good, I must say!

The biggest thing I didn't expect was keeping my head shaved forever. I began with what I thought would be a one time headshave. Then my galpal wanted me to keep it bald for awhile. So after a couple months I decided to grow my hair back. Only made it a few weeks, and wanted to go back to shaving for the rest of the summer. After starting to grow it back a couple dozen times and 7 years later, I'm still rocking the cueball! I like the clean sharp look, but I think I'm more hooked on the smooth feel of a freshly shaved head.

The "feel" is hard to explain to a guy that has never shaved his head. Sure almost all guys have shaved their face, and some even shave in other places as well. But non of that compares the feeling of a freshly shave head. It is something that just has to be experienced.

I agree 100%. I think we could go 3 or4 days without shaving, and people are still going to see us having a shaved head, especially white haired guys like me. But it's us guys that shave ever day because we have to have it totally smooth. I'm not obsessive compulsive about anything else, but you can't beat the feel of a completely smooth shaved head!

I skipped a day shaving this weekend. The sandpaper feel was driving me crazy. After I shaved, it felt extra smooth. I’ve seen posts on here saying that skipping a day results in a smoother shave. I’d rather shave every day, myself.
