Hi from Scotland
« on: May 19, 2018, 07:18:39 AM »
Hi all. Not really sure what I'm meant to say here, but I'll do my best.

So I've decided to give the bald look a shot, wholly by choice, mainly since keeping my hair trimmed short every few weeks is to much of an effort compared to just keeping it down entirely every day or so, and longer hair makes me look rather baby-faced apparently.

Just took my hair right down to the scalp yesterday when my Pitbull skull shaver arrived, and once it's charged up I'll be going over it again.

Have to say, it's certainly a nice feeling when its first done, though I'll certainly need to look into some product for head-care etc (Any fellow Brits recommend any that could be gotten in the UK?) as I've not really got any on hand right now.

If anyone's got any suggested posts or advice for a newbie to read, I'd welcome them.

Thanks all.

Welcome fellow Scot.  You don’t need much to take care of the old head.  Some sun screen, even in Scotland!

Welcome

Thanks for the welcome all.

As someone just starting the whole bald by choice look, I'd have to say I'm happy with the results it's giving me so far.  I've had it a few days now and used it every day as it's a really decent piece of kit, at least to me.

It's real simple and easy to use when held between the fingers to go around the head. I wouldn't say it's as close a cut as a wet-razor shave but it's as close to it as a foil razor can be for under £100.

Thanks for the reply on the shaver. Wonder how it will hold up in the long run?  Thanks again , join in at any time .  O0

A photo would be welcome.  Although the Scottish sun is not as damaging as here in Australia would recommend using sunscreen when outdoors until your scalp gets used to being exposed.
