It's really been affecting my confidence over the last year. I don't get why I couldn't have been blessed with a normal head shape. Basically would you guys recommend keeping some hair on the top or shaving it lower ?

Hey mate, your head looks perfectly normal, more that 99% of people who question their head shape only have head shape in their own mind.
You could rock the bald look no worries, though also with the amount of hair left you have plenty of time before nature makes the choice for you

Here we go again. Man, there is no perfect head shape. We all have heads that have lumps, bumps, scars, etc. That's what makes us unique and individuals. Roll with it. We all do.

Where does your mom see a triangle head, because I and the rest of us on here do not see it? I think what she and you mayby see, is the center of your head woth the ridge of hair on it. When you shave it, it will smooth out alot more.
