Go for it. If you want to do it, you got to do it or else you'll just keep wanting to do it. I just took off over 12 inches of hair.

No need to go to a barber, though, you can easily do it at home.

I still have pretty much a full head of hair, even though I keep it buzzed down pretty short.  Thinking about shaving my head again now that the weather is warming up. I shaved it smooth last summer while I was on vacation and enjoyed it.  I ended up letting it grow back after a few days.
