moving to Southwestern Florida
« on: November 28, 2016, 10:13:02 PM »
  hi guys

I am moving to Southwest Florida (Punta Gorda)  on or about the first of January.   I don't know a soul in the area wondering if there are any SBG brothers anywhere in my area?

I live in New Smyrna Beach but that is about 4-5 hours NE of punta gorda.

I used to live in Naples until my job situation changed.  Left for Michigan kicking and screaming.

I visited family in Ft. Meyers in July.  It's beautiful there for sure!  Wish I was moving there!

We just drove past Punta Gorda twice over the past weekend. My wife asked. What does Punta Gorda mean?

Punta Gorda (/ˌpʌntə ˈɡɔːrdə/; English: Fat Point[5]) is a city in Charlotte County, Florida, United States

We don't live down that way, but we visit south Florida each November/December to fight off a spell of Seasonal Affective disorder. Great for the MOOD.  I feel so much better when we return to NC for Christmas and the rest of the winter.

Plan to retire in Florida for the sun.
