Annie and her allergies.
« on: August 18, 2009, 07:44:19 AM »
Hey all, just wanted to let  you all know that we are taking our youngest daughter Annie to see an allergist today.  She is 9 years old and about 6 years ago we took her and had the allergy test done.  Not a very comfortable thing to do.

We have to get her rested to see if she has grown immune to any of those allergies.  I am hoping that today will be the first time I can take her and buy her FIRST REESE'S CUP!  If she has kicked the peanut allergy, this will open up a whole new world for her.

She told me last night that she is excited to find out if she can have peanutbutter.  She is only worried though..she said Dad, what if I end up not liking peanutbutter?  I just told her well then you dont have to eat it.  She is anxious to give it a try.

Funny how something so simple that none of us ever think about ....Peanutbutter.  Most of us has had it and it just an everyday thing.  To someone who is allergic to it, it can be lethal.  So keep her in  your prayers today that when they do the peanut portion of the testing that nothing goes wrong.  At least we will be at the hospital if anything happens.   KEEP FINGERS CROSSED

Tim, we are hoping for the best for your little Angel.  Those of us who are parents can only appreciate the agony of another parent with such a situation.  Our thoughts go out to her and hope that she gets a great report from the allergist.  Please keep us informed.

It's been a while since the last reply for this post and I hope your kid has been doing well now. For the sake of the other people and help them to overcome their kids allergies, I hope this https://www.medconsumers.com/best-allergy-medicine-for-kids/ might help them in the future. :)
