Bumps On Head
« on: August 01, 2016, 02:54:49 PM »
I'm not a baldy yet, but I buzz my head with a #1 guard. Lately I've noticed some red spots on my scalp. is there a lotion or anything I could put on my head to help this?

I would see a dermatologist. He/she may be able to give you a special shampoo. But that could be follicucitis or sebhorric dermatitis which can easily clear up by just taking the razor to the head.

If it is the same as I experienced when I first started shaving my head, it is your skin (that had been accustomed to being covered/shielded by hair) reacting to the blade going over it. It took mine about a week or so to toughen up.

I found an after shave balm helped.
