Spots on my scalp
« on: June 09, 2016, 01:35:04 PM »
Hey Guys,

I've been lurking for a while and finally made an account. I started balding at 23 and started shaving my head, but i noticed that there are allot of black spots on my scalp and was wondering if you guys knew anything about getting rid of them.

Thanks!

I just finished having my scalp lasered once a month for four months with the same kind of laser they use for tattoo removal.  The doctor who operated the laser was very experienced in Squamous Cell Cancer removal.

For the most part, my spots are either gone or significantly lighter than they used to be.

Looking at your picture is almost like looking in a mirror.  You have a crop of freckles up there.

As Semi-Sly stated, there are laser treatments to remove them.  Most drug stores carry bleaching or fading creams designed to lessen spots. A dermatologist might even recommend a chemical peel or microdermabrasion. How effective any of those might be is the question.

Personally, I would not put too much worry into trying to remove them. Most people probably do not even notice them.

Oh! And welcome to the board!

Thank you very much for your replies and welcome!

Always check with your doctor first to see if there is any reason for the spots or help in clearing them if possible.
