I hate it its freaking annoying i love being bald its amazing but 4 hours after the shave in rooms its most noticeable is the very dark 5 oclock shadow that makes my head look very weird

I think the shadow looks kinda badass, shows you're bald by choice. In about 30 years, when your hair turns grey like mine, you will have no shadow at all!

Agreed with the other guys! There's a fine line between badass and having too much hair. 5 o'clock shadows are badass!

The 5 O"Clock shadow says; "Yeah, I have hair, but I also have big balls and I choose to shave my head! You got a problem with that? Do ya punk?"

Agreed. It tells people that you confidently shave your head.

Or in my case because there's little to shave on top. I went sly just in time. No horseshoes please, we're sly bald guys.

Your shadow looks good. Be thankful you're not an older guy trying to hide a horseshoe shadow. Nothing wrong with a horseshoe shadow, either, I think they look distinguished, myself.

Unfortunately, I'm in a similar boat myself when it comes to getting rid of the "shadow" look. Just look at my profile pic; that was taken within an hour of shaving with a headblade!
After a lot of research and reading on this forum, I've found there really is no way to get rid of the look of the shadow. However, if you are concerned with how rapid your hair growth is because of the FEEL of it (i.e. you don't like the sandpaper feel), DeanJones started a post over in the Product Reviews section of the SBG forum about a product that is supposed to be a hair inhibitor specifically for the scalp (Inhibitif). No news yet on how effective it is, but it's worth looking into!

Don't worry about your shadow - it looks good on you. No reputable waxing place would do your scalp because the hair too dense and it would be both very painful and potentially damaging to try waxing it. And, yes, laser is permanent, so you have to be really sure you're willing to live with the results. You look young and it seems like you have a pretty full head of hair, so you should think long and hard about whether that would be a step you would be willing to take.

You look fine , just shave or clip short. Way to young to consider laser sessions.
