Greetings, sly bald guys!
« on: January 24, 2016, 09:08:01 PM »
Hey everyone, I'm new here. I found the forum while searching for "proof" that taking the leap could help a friend. I have been reading and enjoying the posts ever since, so I decided to commit and become a member. I thought it was fitting to assume the name, "slybaldguy", since it was available, and I am newly sly myself..

Edit: I figured I would share my before and after for any guys also new to the look or worried about taking the same leap. My hair has been slowly receding back for a few years now, and I've tried numerous hair styles trying to keep up with the other "full heads" out there. This is my second time going all in, and I think it's a good look for me. I tell you what, though.. Either way, I'd rather take control and be labeled the "bald tough guy" than to feel like a victim and be labeled the "30 something receding hairline guy".

Semi-Sly,

Thanks for the warm welcome! I went all in 2 years ago, but suffered a decent head trauma after rolling an ATV at high speed doing a long distance wheelie on pavement. I split my dome wide open, fractured my skull, and had to have it stapled back together. (Lucky for me, they didn't have to shave before going in!) I was nervous about recommitting ever since though, for fear that the scars would stand out like sore thumbs. I recently decided to take my chances and start fresh. Nobody has even noticed the scars -- it was all in my head (no pun intended).

Welcome, Sly.  Nice to have the addition to the board. We've been waiting for you to show up! LOL.

You do have an intense look and the bald head, beard and earrings all fit the look.

Yeah, the earrings are a nice touch.  Do you have them in your right ear as well?

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome, and yes, I must say, I was quite surprised when I typed in "slybaldguy" for kicks and it gave me the green check, "username available"!

Sorry I missed this thread yesterday, but welcome the the board, SlyBaldGuy.

I never even occurred to me to try that name. Congratulations on thinking of it.

That creativity in his nickname, either I'd thought of that name.
It fits very well his bald head with his beard.
I have a question: Is there a secret to the shaving head does not remain that shadow?

I still have the shadow if you look at it dead on. You can't tell from the front, or a short distance, but you can tell if you're within 6 feet of me. I just try to shave really, really close and keep it slick.
