I am really tired of using a clipper. It is time-consuming and the hair gets everywhere when you are done. I usually have to take a shower afterwards which is also adds to the process of cutting my hair.
I want to make the switch to a fancy Braun shaver, BUT, I dont really want a super close cut which is what the fancy Braun shavers are for. My skin is sensitive and I don't mind showing that I am bald (confidence
).
So what are my options? In a perfect world I would like to purchase a shaver that lets me adjust the lenght of the hair (E.g 1mm) and that gathers the hair for me.
Ps. I am black.
Walmart sells a Wahl clipper which has 'combs' from #8 (one inch) to #0.5. And then it has an 'adjusment' level to set the length between the fixed settings of the combs. It's yellow and black. About $35. I use it to trim the beard and eyebrows. Used to use it on my head before I discovered the joy of shaving bald.
But I already have a clipper. That's what I don't want to use.
What about a foil razor (Remington, Norelco) ?

I would love a foil razor. But all of them seem to brag about how close they cut. Is their a foil razor out there that does not cut close but still have a strong engine?
Rotary foil shavers cut a little less closer than regular foil shavers, IMO
