Getting older...is it too far gone?
« on: August 24, 2015, 03:11:57 AM »
I'm almost 30 and my hair has seen better days. Trying to get honest opinion if my head would look good completely bald. I have a weird shaped skull and my hair is receding more on the right than on the left but no bald spot on crown. My friends say to grow it out Abraham Lincoln style...whatever that means. I've shaved it with a zero before but never a razor so I'm not afraid to shave it but I just don't want to come off as a scary or intimidating person to people. Most women I talked to say a shaved head creeps them out. Thanks in advance for any advice pics in links.

I just turned 30 myself, and you can grow a heap more hair than me. I don't reckon you would have any problem rocking most haircuts. but for shaved, your head isn't odd shaped (it's something that we all seem to think) I've never been told that I look scary or imposing, and I have a bushy beard to add to the shaved head.  I think being scary would be more dependent on how you hold yourself, I'm pretty quick to smile
God created only a few perfect heads, the rest he covered with hair!

Welcome to the board.

There is nothing I can see in those pictures that gives your head an odd shape. If you are at the point of wanting to shave,  my opinion is that you should do it.

You probably will be surprised at how many of those women who claim to be creeped out are thinking of a concept of a bald head and will not feel that way when they actually meet the man under it.

you look great with short buzz and also will with fully shaved scalp.  Head shape looks normal to me.  they do come different.  Just do it. no regrets.

All guys think their head is too odd shaped to be shaved.  There is nothing wrong with your head shape.  So if you are thinking this much about it, then now is the time to shave.  It is not creepy, and it is a common style even for guys will plenty of hair.  So I suggest you give shaving a 30 day trial.  You have nothing to loose, except some hair.

What's with the face blacked out. The story about all the women you asked , why would you think about shaving your head then,if their opinion is so important?

Look, the shape of your head is VERY normal!!

Yes, it would look awesome shaved!!! Do it! Give it at least 30 days to 'grow' on you! Do it now!! You will love it

Your hair isn't even that bad, there is a little recession but not at the must shave point.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I ended up shaving it with razor. Alot of my friends were giving me crap because of the 'little island' of hair that just sat on the front of my head. Sorry for blacking out my face but I have a job where I need to be somewhat anonymous and the internet is notorious for not being anonymous. I understand that the ears are a definitive telling feature of human faces but by blacking out my eyes and nose I can at least feel some assurance.

Your hair isn't even that bad, there is a little recession but not at the must shave point.

I sort of agree it's not that bad but it just grows weird and looks gross just sitting on the top of my skull in a receding V shape. Being shaven just feels better.
