You know we all have said, at one time or another, " If I won the lottery i would..." fill in the blanks. what would you do if you won say $100,000,000. personally, i would take care of my family, get the kids set up so that college was paid for. or if they don't go to school the money is their's when they turn 30. after that was all done i would take 1/3 of what was left and split it between the march of dimes & st. jude. ( mod helped my parents when i was born, and god forbid me or someone i know ever need st. jude.) then i would travel, alot.

Hm, what would I do? First off, I'd give a couple of million to my parents. After all, they raised me (and believe me, I was a difficult child - still am).

I would give a couple of millions to charity - I'd adopt 100 kids in Africa by paying $70 a month for their food, clothing and education. Ah, Africa. It's a shame - a continent the world has forgotten...

I'd invest a few millions in gold. Then I'd go on a trip with my wonderful woman, making sure she gets the best pampering there is.

But I'd be careful not to make the mistake to justs be idle and blow all the money. A man must keep himself busy - preferably by something he enjoys doing. So I'd start a business there, in beautiful British Columbia.

Ok, you know someone was going to say it!  How can you not quote Office Space after a question like that?

In all seriousness, I would invest $90 million of it in various different assets, but probably most of it in Real Estate, with a bit of it in Stocks and Bonds.  The reason I would invest in Real Estate is the cashflow opportunities that would exist with that money.  By earning just a measly 10% on my money, that would yield 9 million a year.

From the cash that I earned on the investments, I would then donate 50% to non-family related charities.  To name a few would be American Heart Association, St. Baldricks, and Ryan's Reach (http://www.ryansreach.com This is a charity for my best friend who is recovering from a fall from the 3rd story of a building), and my church and some missions that they support.

Now, the 10 million I didn't invest would be used to invest in the names of my family members so that it could provide sufficient cash flow to afford them a comfortable lifestyle.  I figure that would be about 1 million each generating about $100,000 a year for each of them.  This doesn't sound like a lot, but I'm not done yet.

Since there would be about 2 million left over, I would then use that to pay off my family members' debt, so the $100,000 they received each year would be all theirs.  (I may need to use a little more than 2 million to pay off some of their mortgages.)

What would I do with my $4.5 million a year?

Travel, Travel, Travel.  I want to see the world. 

I would also like to build a "compound" in my hometown.  This would basically be a large (100+ Acres) of land that my family and I could have houses on.  I would also need a place in Manhattan for my wife, a house where I live now, and one on the beach in So. Cal.  I would also buy a ranch in either Montana, Idaho, or Wyoming to hunt on.

I would buy a couple different cars eventually (see the Dream Car topic).

Last but not least I would take the members of Sly Bald Guys on a cruise or some type of vacation.

$100,000,000....  I think I'd have to go on a 12 month drinking binge!  Of course that binge would be in Jamaica, US Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Hawaii, Austrailia, New Zealand, Thailand, Germany, England, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Aruba!!

Anyway, we get out there and buy lotto tickets in our different areas of the country and if someone wins......

I would start off by paying off my mom's house, and vehicle, then buy her a new one. Buy myself and a couple of my close buddies around here custom Harley's. Built by my step-dad of course. (He is the shop foreman at the local Harley dealer) Buy my old man a new car, truck or whatever it is he wants, then buy him a classy RV and all the digital camera equipment he needs. Build a new house on my newly acquired ranch. Buy the wife whatever damn vehicle she wants, buy myself a new Dodge Ram diesel pickup. Horses, a horse trailer, corrals, a nice big shop to work on my vehicles and park my new Dodge. Then invite all of you out to my new place, and we'll break it in right!!! Fully stocked wetbar, poolside of course. Last but most certainly not least, donate a boat load to the Pediatric Oncology department at the local children's hospital AND a boat load to St Jude

my 1st initial reaction when i confirmed that i actually won the lottery of $100,000,000 would b 2 thank GOD.  then i would get my ladder & get on the roof and YELL:  I'M RICH BEEEE-YOOTCH!!! (several times)

then i would donate 10% 2 my church.  i would invest most of my $$$ in real estate & some into some mutual funds.  then i would pay off my parents house & mother-in-law's house and buy them any vehicle they want.  i would financially help my brother & brother-in-law.  of course... i'll buy my wifey ANY thing she wants.  i would buy me a brand new porsche cayenne & definitely travel the world with my wife. 

oh... and i will sponsor the SBG CONVENTION 2008 in chicago!!!  we will have a BLAST!!!

I would definitely do pretty much what Tyler said, with a few of my own changes thrown in.
But the gist of it would be investing , real estate, family, college, charity, toys (like Pigpen said) I have few Harley D's that I'd like to get saddled up.
And of course, travel!

2.  10% in a trust for my church to insure that all expenses can easily be met and that they will have a guaranteed income

5.  A place for my sister and brother in law
6.  Help some local schools improve their libraries
7.  Help the local public library improve their collection
8.  A new jeep
9.  Trip tp Europe on the Queen Mary 2
10.  A lot of Lionel Trains.
11.  A bunch of stuff my parents always say they want but never buy!!

Send parents on train triip across the entire country (its a dream of theirs)

Take girlfriend to Ireland and South Africa

Get the biggest and best Harley I can buy.

I'd give my mom and dad enough to pay off the rest of the house, than enough to fix it up, and buy them a nice house somewhere else...... and a nice next egg so pops could retire.

do the same for my girlfriend's parent's.

Than I'd pay off my student loans, my girlfriend's loans, the jeep, and credit card (which isn't much), than i'd pay off the ohuse, fix it up and sell it.

Than build the house I truely would want to live in for the rest of my life. With lots of land for horses (the gf wants one real bad) I'd like to get the type of horse the vikings use to have i think it would be perfect for my size and stature.

all that might have amounted to a million dollars..... I'd invest 5 Million dollars using the interest to found a graduate from my High School and the High school of the town i live in, for a full 4 year scolarship including housing in the amount of one university degree.

I'd go to university and become either a nurse or a vet working only with dogs, and maybe horses. but cows and pigs would be wrong for me seeing as how i was cutting them up once upon a time.

I'd basically only work when i wanted to, and I'd travel the world.

I would also get a Harley or Sweet A$$ custom Chopper, and learn to scuba. Than take all the sly guys that Scuba someplace where we can dive.

And than i'd take the boys with bikes across the countries, both Canada and USA, and we'd camp and drink beers and go to cool places like disney world...
