« on: August 18, 2007, 06:29:35 PM »
Hey fellow Slys,

I wanted to tell you about this stuff called "Shower Shock ". Its a bar of soap with caffeine in its ingredients. I don't shave with it but its a nice follow up after a good shave. I bought it at www.thinkgeek.com , this is a great place to find cool geeky stuff , Just wanted to share

Interesting.  So what does the caffeine actually do for your skin?

People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

I am not sure for myself, except for a tingly feeling. I have noticed that they are puttng caffeine in oher soaps and even shampoos. Lots of people think it is good for hair and skin. Its a relatively new thing so it will be interesting to see how its used. When using it, my skin does feel healthy and very clean.  But like any other uses of caffeine, most people react differently to it.

Caffeine does expand blood vessels and stimulate blood flow....

That'd be weird getting addicted to it  :*))  like....getting headaches when you stop using it... ;D

I have too much caffeine as it is, lol !  But it has a nice, invigorating effect to it. I like it, its a nice finish to a shave. ;D

when you have to wash the kids mouth out, they would get all jacked up on the caffeine. and act up again so you would wash the mouth out again. ongoing cycle.

I heard about this on the radio a few weeks ago.  The extra caffeine is supposed to give you an extra jolt in the morning.  But they said that caffeine has to be ingested in order to accomplish that.  You can't absorb it through the skin.

When this topic first popped up, I though it said "Caffeinated Soup"... which does not sound at all good, event to a coffee addict such as myself.

Not to be a downer but:

My own thoughts? Well any kind of highly minty/mentholated products tends to give a satisfactory "jolt" purely from the smell. If you really want to wake up, and save some cash, slap yourself a dozen times or stab yourself with a fork.

my 2 cents.
