Cremo question
« on: February 22, 2015, 04:10:11 PM »

Hello,
Tried using Cremo for a face, head shave for the first time, seemed a little rough.  I used Shave Secret as a preshave oil.  Did I defeat the properties of Cremo?

Thanks
John

Did you mix them together with a brush? If so, how thick was your lather? Some creams may require a thicker or thinner lather than others.

I applied shave secret to clean wet head then face/ head lathered and followed my standard routine.
I was under the impression you don't use a brush with this product?

Thanks
John

You could do it that way, but, to me, Shave Secret is more effective when you drop a few drops into the soap and mix it in first before applying to the face and/or head. Especially if you are shaving with a safety razor. It also depends on how much growth you were shaving off, also.

Good luck! Remember, many of us had to experiment until we found what works best for us!

I have found that mixing cremo with headblades head slick shave cream along with a few drops of shave secret works very well for me. Cremo by itself was not very impressive when i tried it, but when mixing it with other shaving creams it is wonderful!

I only use cremo on my face...didn't work too well on the head. I use a pre-shave oil on my head and then head slick (combo seems to work really well)
