Magic Shave Cream
« on: January 19, 2015, 04:33:08 AM »
Does anyone use Magic shave cream or powder?  Does it slow down hair growth?   When hair grows back, is it thinner?   Is it a safe product to use?  I give myself a daily head shave.  It would be nice to slow down my hair growth with thinner hair.

Magic shave does not reduce or slow down hair growth.  It dissolves hair in the same way as Nair, but with formulations for scalp and face.  I have given it a try, and it works, but it is not as smooth as a blade shave.  I still have a sandpaper feel after using it, but to the eye it is smooth.

If you try it, read the instrucions and be sure to test a small area first to see how your skin reacts.  Some guys cannot tollerate these products and end up with burns.  I have never had any issues with it.

Like spybeard says. It just removes existing hair and often with inconsistent results. I get a bad sunburn reaction from it but it's gone in a day or two.

Depending on the store many places will take back a product that has been partially used and that is unsatisfactory. So you may have nothing to loose.
