My first tattoo

Last Sunday (9 November), had my very first tattoo. I chose a shinkansen design. Shinkansen is the name which the Japanese use for their high speed trains, which are sometimes better known as the "bullet train". I've had a life long interest in railways - and in particular the shinkansen. I've travelled on the shinkansen train on many occasions and always enjoyed the ride. Indeed my YouTube channel is "shinkansen1966" ... Google it !
The whole tattoo process took just over an hour. The actually inking took about 50 minutes. It was a lot less painful than I thought. Indeed most of the time, little more than a vibration. Now there's 7-10 days of healing with cream to be appplied several times per day.
I'm really pleased with it. So now I want to get another !
