25 years with plugs!

Hello guys, i found my way here and it nice to see I'm not alone!  My name is Frank, 55 yrs old, in pretty good shape. As a young guy I had a full head of thick curly hair.  But as I aged i noticed the front starting to thin. By 1989 I decided I would go get hair transplants. I went 3 times! All those years every morning I would get up and style and spray everything into place.  Now my hair is gone on the top and its thinning on the sides. But of course the plugs are still growing!  I look like a fool now. When I go out I feel like people are looking at me. Last night I was out to dinner with my girl and my parents. And I noticed this guy and girl looking at me and smiling. I wanted to go over to their table and say what the f**k you looking at! My night was ruined! I would love to shave it but I know the plugs will be totally exposed and I will look like a bigger fool.  Plus the scares in the back of my head! What a mess. These things have truly ruined my life. It gotten to the point where I don't want to leave my house.  Thanks for listening.

There are some guys on here who have gone through the same thing as you are talking about.
 
I would imagine that most people would not know what the scars were from.  People are more likely to ignore a bald head than a bad hair-do or a funky hair line, or patches of hair.  A shaved head seems to be more forgiving of imperfections than you would think.

I going through the same thing, only that I am mostly concerned with the scar on the back of my head. I don't have plug scars, maybe due to the newer techniques on hair transplant methods, not sure.

Perhaps you should consult with a HT surgeon and try to have the plugs removed. There are some options to try and camo the scars and make it less noticeable.

But perhaps you should first shave it all off to access exactly what you dealing with. Maybe is not as bad as you might think. I'm going sly on my next vacations, then I'll figure out what to do.
