You really shouldn't let this get to you so much. There are always going to be negative people no matter how you look. I am sure when people see me now they may right away think a certain way about me. So what, let them.
You know, and those closest to you know the real deal and that's all that matters. I think John, Danyroo and of course Magma said it all.

X for the 1st time in I don't know how long I felt weird this weekend.

My wife works for optometrist. and one of them was getting married. so of course I dressed for the it.

At church I was fine.. but once we got to the reception afterwards.. well I felt like the outsider. notice some guys my age (preps) most of them doc's, dentists, and optometrists... I felt being looked down on. after a few drinks I was getting loose and didn't bother me.

but when I got up the next day I was and still thinking about it. so I asked my wife.. I said would you prefer me to grow back my hair, to be like all of them.. Her response was I love you and find you attractive the way you are. if I wanted someone like that I would have went for someone like that.

Ok yes it's assuring but...........I never felt like this

I'm trying to get over this one. cause I know what I like and what I want but sh*t.. I just can't explain it.

Who want's to look 21 ?!?!   .. (no offence to you younger guys) .

I know we all get kind of obsessed with "what age we look" ....   But     everybody acts younger; dresses younger these days. People take up new careers in their 40s and even 50s.   So; my poiint? "be yourself; take care of yourself; maximize your quality of life through healthy food, exercise, travel, fun, looking the way YOU want to look;  loving the world and people around you ((( I guess even those loosers who are buggin' you so much))) ...   that's how you stay young.  Or maybe in this obsession with "young"  we just need to substitue the word "Happy"  for "young".

Hey Dany,
I know exactly how you feel. This weekend we drove to Vegas for a seminar course in ultrasound tech and imaging for my wife. It was a good chance to see peoples reactions, if any.
You know what? most don't even notice. Some do, and it was kind of nice to get some longer looks and smiles from the ladies. 

I was on the lookout for fellow slyguys and where we stayed (Riviera) there were quite a few. That felt good. At the pool alone there were about 5-6 of us, and walking through the casino I would pass many more.
So it was a reinforceing time for this freshly sly guy.

It's also very possible that alot of the male guests were envious or felt inferior in confidence to how you were coming across. I definitely felt quite confident this weekend and I believe it shows.
I am sure I read this in some of the other posts also.

Anyway, just let it slide, don't think about it too much and soon you will put it past you.
You look good sly, keep it that way, especially with your wife's approval and encouragement.

Danyroo, I wouldn't put too much into those momentary feelings.  It amazes me how quickly I forget what life was like before being SLY.  The good part is you can always grow it back, but I bet you'll soon rediscover why it all came off in the first place.  Sometimes life just looks better on the other side of the fence.

sorry to hear your coworkers and boss are jerks. I have been made "fun" of as well. If it's stuff that happens once in a while, ignore it, don't let it provoke you. I've been made fun of for ridiculous things, and I have seen people that are stupid beyond all reason and insult and make fun of others just because thats how they are. You can find something dumb to say about anyone if you really want, and some people are really good at it. Personally I know that I am good looking and have a lot more success with the ladies etc but I don't have to mention this because I'm not that type of guy that needs to compare himself in order to feel sly. But if that stuff keeps happening you should consider switching your job, because they don't seem to be worth having somebody as you in their team. Good job on the healthy lifestyle, too, keep it up.

Seriously though, you look very good, and no you don't look like the dude in the picture.   You look years younger than you are... just enjoy and don't take your boss hard  they can be softened up a bit

Just need to remember why you went sly in the first place and realize these tools are content to be slaves to hair and continue to carry it around like a millstone.
