Hello, guys.
After lurking a few weeks I decided to introduce myself.
My story is the same as many balding guys. I did a mistake of having a hair transplant though. I was really insecure at the time, my self esteem was really low, etc, all that stuff you guys know about.
I really wish I could shave my head like you guys, but now I have to deal with a strip scar on the back of my head. I still have a fair amount of hair, I wear it quite short and have that going bald look (without never actually getting there). I'm looking into ways of making the scar less visible, so I can start shaving.
Once I manage this, or just overcome the scar thing, I'll let you guys know.
One more thing, you guys are freaking awesome!! (but you know that already).
If I had found this forum before I would have never gone through the hair transplant.
Best regards.
PS. I'm not a native speaker and my english is quite rusty, sorry about that.

Good luck with the scar reduction Liam. I hope the anticipation of going sly doesn't weigh on you too much. I look forward too shaving my head every morning, and love the look and feel of being bald!

Welcome, Liam! Many of us sly guys have scars, scratches, moles, you name it on our heads..and we still wear them with pride. If the scar is too much for you to bear when you do the deed, see a doctor or dermatologist. Good luck, buddy!

I've been exchanging pm's with a member here who did some scar cover ups and it's being realy helpful.
My goal is to go sly by next summer.

With hair the scar may be more noticeable than without as the scar has no hair and the area beside it does. One thing I have found that helps is Mederma a product you rub on a scar. It lessens the appearance of it, actually works. I have used it on a small scar I had. It has faded away and isn't noticeable now. Like the others said check with a dermatologist about lessening the appearance of the scar.

Hey bud, ty. I have shaved the scar area already to have a look. It's pretty hardcore stuff, even shaved down to the bone, it's very noticeable.
I'm gonna take a look at some laser treatment options with a dermatologist.
Thanks for the tip on Mederma, invaray, gonna look into it.
